Merry Christmas Everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I did! The family returned to Delta to celebrate this joyous time of year. We ate a lot of good food and opened a few good presents. Our Christmas celebration will be continuing into Friday as my parents gave us all tickets to tomorrow's Ballet West's performance of the Nutcracker. We are all extraordinarily excited as none of us have seen it. There is a "no child under 8" clause as well as a "no babe in arms" clause on the tickets and so dad graciously "sacraficed" a ticket for himself to stay at home and play with....oops! Did I say that? I meant tend the baby! hehe

So I am posting mostly pictures of Gwen, cause let's face it...she's the real star of our lives now. Gwen is becoming a real riot! She and I talk and talk for hours. Well, not hours, but probably 10-20 minutes which seems like hours when you are holding up the main part of the conversation. She is soo cute. She coos and tries to mimic everything you do. She is the life of the party wherever she is. One of her cutest quirks is she loves to get her diaper changed. She can be bauling her cute little eyes out and as soon as you either take her to her designated changing table or start unsnapping her onsie she will crack a smile that melts your heart! She's so fun and we are so gonna miss her when Mary Jo and Hans-Erik so rudely whisk her off to California to live. Seriously! We will just have to visit often.
This picture I call Kung-Fu Gwen. She is really yawning but the tuft of hair, wrinkle of her nose, and the position of her arms just make it a classic Kung-Fu picture!
Merry Christmas!
&
Happy New Year!

Oh what a cute baby. Yep you are going to miss that one. How soon are they moving and where in California? Wow the family is moving all over the US. Who would have thought.

Hans-Erik has a new, better paying, job in Simi Valley near L.A. He has already started his job and is commuting on the weekends. He is living with a family down there now who he met through my dad's sister's in-laws (that's a mouthful). He was able to work from home over Christmas and spent the week with Mary and Gwen. They will be moving as soon as they find a place to live near his work. Probably in mid-late January or early February. It's gonna be sad.
